Clinics
My clinics are one to two hour interactive presentations on specialized marimba and percussion topics, including the History and Evolution of the Marimba which is based on my book: Keiko Abe ~ A Virtuosic Live: Her Musical Career and the Evolution of the Concert Marimba.
Additional clinic topics include: Playing With Six Mallets, From Bach to the Blues: The Art of Performance Styles for Marimbists, Sight Reading Mallet Percussion Music, Learning New Repertoire: From the First Reading to the Performance. Normally my clinics are part of Day of Percussion events, however they can also be part of a longer residency or percussion and marimba festival.
